Bike along the ancient Roman lands and discover Conímbriga’s oppidum by bike (a two day’s activity for groups up to 6 people). 420€/group
The Roman circuit links the Roman ruins of Conímbriga, the Alcabideque Spring (Condeixa), the Rabaçal Roman Villa (Penela) and the medieval Tower and fortified Palace of Santiago da Guarda (Ansião) – it is believed that this area was administered by the oppidum of Conímbriga: the Sicó lands. During the first day, the participants visit several roman ruins and travel around 31km over easy terrain, with a level of difficulty accessible for all. On the second day, there’s a 50km trip of pure Mountain Biking, visiting emblematic places of Sicó Lands like the Vale dos Poios and Buracas do Casmilo.
Additional Information: The activity includes guide, lunch (1st day), picnic (2nd day), and insurance excluding transport to the location and other personal expenses. Takes place near Conímbriga, implying a minimum route of 120km (distance from Uma Casa Portuguesa to Conímbriga: 29.6km). The starting time and the meeting point will be defined up to 3 days before the activity.
Tips: Bring comfortable shoes and clothes (be prepared for the weather: cold, rain or sun) and do not forget your camera.
